SITUATION

Domino Kirke came to me as she was preparing to release a new album and wanted her website to reflect this new creative stage in her life.

She already had a strong vision and beautiful imagery. What she needed was someone to bring it together in a way that felt less like a website and more like an artist.

Domino's world is ethereal, calm, intimate, and deep. The site needed to live in that world while still doing its job: supporting the album, touring, and everything else she was putting into the world.

WHAT WASN’T WORKING

This wasn't a case of needing a big rebrand or strategy exercise. Domino knew who she was and what she wanted to express.

The gap was between having the vision and actually turning it into a digital experience—and then keeping that experience current as the work continued to evolve.

WHAT I DID

I listened, interpreted, and delivered.

Domino is a mother of four as well as a full-time doula and mentor, so part of my job was making the process require as little of her time and attention as possible.

I sourced and edited imagery, designed the site around the visual world of the album, and handled the details behind the scenes. Rather than over-designing it, I focused on creating space for Domino's photography, music, and point of view to do the work.

And because her creative life doesn't stand still, neither does the site. Our work has continued through album releases, touring, new projects, and shifts in direction—adjusting the site as Domino herself changes and grows.

THE WORK

  • Homepage / full-page capture

  • Album release page or hero

  • Desktop + mobile views

  • Full-screen imagery

  • Detail shots showing typography and restraint

  • Music / listening experience

  • Touring or current-project section

  • A few different iterations of the homepage over time

  • Before/after, if the original site is available

WHAT CHANGED

Domino has a website she feels confident represents her creatively—but she also doesn't have to think about it all the time.

As releases happen, tours are announced, or the work changes, the site can change with her.

Someone with an eye has an eye on it.
