SITUATION

Dr. Kate Tomas is a psychic, writer, and teacher with a large international following—and a personality to match.

She came to me ready for a complete brand overhaul. The existing identity no longer reflected the scale, confidence, or richness of her work. She wanted something luxe, opulent, sensual, a little dreamy, and entirely her own.

This wasn't about making Kate look more interesting. The brand needed to catch up with the person.

WHAT WASN’T WORKING

Kate already had the audience, the point of view, and a strong sense of self.

What she didn't have was a visual identity or website that communicated all of that before she even said a word.

There was also a lot of information to organize. The new site needed to create a coherent world around Kate while making her different offerings and ideas easier to navigate.

WHAT I DID

We started with moodboards, references, and conversation to establish the visual direction. Kate has strong instincts and knows what she likes, so once I understood what she was responding to, the direction clicked very quickly.

From there, I developed an entirely new visual identity and carried it through the website—rethinking the structure and hierarchy of the content, sourcing and manipulating imagery, and building a rich visual world around her work.

The goal wasn't minimalism for minimalism's sake. This brand was allowed to be more: more color, more texture, more atmosphere, more drama.

It just needed someone to make all of that more feel intentional.

THE WORK

  • Brand identity overview

  • Moodboard / early visual direction

  • Homepage animation or screen recording

  • Full homepage

  • 2–3 key interior pages

  • Desktop + mobile views

  • Typography details

  • Grid of sourced / manipulated imagery

  • Close-ups showing texture, color, and visual layering

  • Before + after, if the previous site is available

WHAT CHANGED

Kate ended up with a brand and website she loved—one that finally felt as distinctive and fully realized as the work behind it.

And the response extended beyond Kate herself.

This project became a calling card. People saw the work, connected with the visual world, and came to me wanting that same level of specificity for themselves.

The brand didn't just resonate with the client. It attracted the next ones.
